Welcome to East Sussex Online (eastsussexonline.co.uk), a family days-out discovery service for East Sussex and Brighton operated by Pure Publishing (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them.

Using East Sussex Online

East Sussex Online is a free service that helps you discover places to visit and eat in East Sussex and Brighton. You may use it to browse, search and find information for your own personal, non-commercial use.

The site is intended for use by adults (aged 18 or over) planning days out.

Privacy

Your use of East Sussex Online is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we handle it.

About our information

We work hard to keep our listings accurate and helpful, drawing on public data, business information and other sources. However:

• We can't guarantee everything is accurate or up to date. Opening hours, prices, facilities, and whether a place is open or still trading can change at any time. Some information is gathered automatically and may contain errors.
• Always check directly with a venue before travelling, especially for opening times, admission prices, accessibility, and whether they can accommodate your family's needs. Don't rely solely on East Sussex Online when planning a trip that matters.
• “Family-friendly”, accessibility, and similar labels are guides, not guarantees. They're based on available data and, in places, automated assessment. Your own judgement about whether somewhere suits your family always comes first.

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss, disappointment, or expense resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information, or from your visit to any venue listed.

Maps, directions and location

Maps and directions are provided by third-party mapping services. We aren't responsible for routing errors, road closures, inaccessible routes, or navigation inaccuracies. Always follow road signs and your own judgement when travelling.

Photographs

Many venue photographs are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and other Creative Commons libraries, and are credited individually where shown. Images are illustrative and may not reflect a venue's current appearance or facilities. If you own an image and have any concern about its use here, please contact us and we'll address it promptly.

Venues, businesses and third parties

East Sussex Online lists third-party venues and businesses that we don't own or control. Listing a venue is not an endorsement, recommendation or warranty about it. Any dealings you have with a venue — including bookings, purchases, and your experience there — are strictly between you and them.

The site contains links to external websites (such as venue websites and map services). We're not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of those sites.

Sponsored listings and affiliate links

Some listings may be promoted as “Featured” by the business concerned, and some links may be affiliate links. Where a listing is promoted, it is clearly labelled as such. If you book or buy through an affiliate link, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.

Promotion never affects our trust badges. “Been & checked” and “Loved by families” are earned, never paid for, and cannot be bought.

Feedback you submit

If you send us feedback about a venue, you confirm that it's honest, given in good faith, and doesn't contain anything unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or infringing on anyone's rights. You grant us permission to use that feedback to maintain and improve our listings. We may choose not to act on, or may remove, any feedback at our discretion.

Acceptable use

When using East Sussex Online, you agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
• Copy, scrape, or systematically extract our content or data for your own commercial use without our permission;
• Submit false, malicious, or abusive feedback.

Our content

The design, layout, branding, text and compiled listings of East Sussex Online belong to Pure Publishing or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce or reuse them commercially without our permission. Individual venue information and images may belong to third parties, who retain their rights.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available and working, but we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the service at any time without notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows when they last changed. By continuing to use the site after changes, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
